University of Wisconsin-Madison
The Midwest Seminar for Early Modern Philosophy was created in 1992 to serve as an annual gathering of scholars in the history of philosophy, particularly those working on seventeenth- and eighteenth-century thought. In its eighteen years, meeting at a rotating series of universities and colleges around the Midwest (broadly construed), the Seminar has achieved high international renown and is a sought-after venue for the presentation of new work in the field. This year’s seminar, featuring highly regarded scholars from both Europe and North America, will be held Oct 21-23 at the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
This meeting of the Midwest Seminar in Early Modern Philosophy is sponsored by the Department of Philosophy, the Center for European Studies, the Center for Interdisciplinary French Studies, the Center for Early Modern Studies, and the Anonymous Fund of the College of Letters and Science. We are grateful for their support.
